Before flying, the average pilot needs to train for about 10 hours – a computer picks up the electric signals sent by the brain so that it can interpret them later, when the pilot is actually flying the drone. He says that merely thinking about making a fist causes the brain to react in a similar way to when a person actually makes a fist, making the technology potentially useful for people who are paralyzed.

Traveled from Lexington to Louisville, KY this week. It was a beautiful drive with lots of green grass, horse stables, and a castle!! I walked around U of KY and U of Louisville. Both were beautiful campuses. There were horse statues everywhere… Literally. Also, the KY derby was going on this Saturday at Churchill Downs (pictured). Louisville was buzzing with people and I learned people lived for horse racing here!! It’s been 85 C the whole week but I am excited to get back home to snowy MN.

** the picture of the horse stable was from google, DJ always gets mad at me if I take pictures while driving :)

I went to Farmville, Va today on the way to Lynchburg. I don’t know if this were where Facebook got its inspiration from but it was a cool town! I wish I could have taken some pictures but I was running late to my next meeting. It has a great biking trail I would love to go on!
